Meet the Team

Harvey Standfield
Owner & Level 4 Canine Hydrotherapist
Harvey is the sole hydrotherapist currently at HS Canine Hydrotherapy and brings a wealth of experience, dedication, and specialist training to his role. He holds both a Level 4 Award and Level 3 Certificate in Canine Hydrotherapy, having trained at two centres including Greyfriars Rehabilitation Referrals and Hawksmoor Hydrotherapy. During his training, he also completed a canine massage unit.
His qualifications include Advanced Underwater Treadmill (UWTM) training as well as Advanced Pool Techniques, and he has an in-depth understanding of canine gait analysis and small animal behaviour, ensuring every treatment is tailored to each dog's individual needs.
Harvey began his career as a cattery assistant before working as an Animal Keeper at Finkley Down Farm, where he cared for a variety of animals including small mammals, rabbits, meerkats, reptiles, horses, and donkeys. He then gained further experience as a Pet Care Advisor at Pets at Home and as a Bath Buddy, before following his passion to become a canine hydrotherapist.
Before specialising in hydrotherapy, Harvey studied a Foundation Degree (FdSc) in Animal Therapy and Rehabilitation at Oxford Brookes University. He is also a Canine Arthritis Management (CAM) Advocate, holding a Level 1 qualification in this area, and is currently working towards a Level 4 Diploma in Canine Therapeutic Massage.
Prior to founding HS Canine Hydrotherapy, Harvey ran Top Dog Canine Hydrotherapy, where he quickly gained recognition within the industry. Within just a year, he was invited to feature on Crufts 2025 to present Sienna’s Story alongside her owner’s dedication to her recovery and proudly received three major awards:
-
Award for Excellence in Canine Hydrotherapy Treatment
-
Veterinary Rehab Clinic of the Year at the 2025 Regional Business Awards
-
Highly Commended Award in the Young Business Person of the Year 2025 (Test Valley Business Awards)
Harvey is passionate about improving the lives of dogs through evidence-based therapy and continues to grow his expertise to offer the very best care in the field of veterinary rehabilitation.

Cody Standfield
Canine Hydrotherapy Assistant
Cody completed an Animal Management course at Sparsholt College in 2020 and has since built a broad base of experience working with dogs, cats, small animals, and reptiles. His passion for rehabilitation—both in animals and humans—drives his compassionate and focused approach to canine care.
As Harvey’s younger brother, Cody is a key part of the HS Canine Hydrotherapy team and also looks after Josie, the family’s much-loved pet dog. He has become a valued asset to the business, making a strong impression on many of the dogs he works with through his calm, confident manner and natural connection with animals.
In his spare time, Cody is training to become a qualified Personal Trainer, with a particular interest in calisthenics and mobility—further reflecting his dedication to physical health and wellbeing.

Sharon (Volunteer)
Receptionist / Assistant
Sharon is our brilliant receptionist and assistant, who generously volunteers her time to support the daily running of HS Canine Hydrotherapy. She’s also Harvey and Cody’s mum and proudly helps keep the family business organised and thriving behind the scenes.
With years of experience in administrative roles and a lifelong love of dogs, Sharon brings both professionalism and heart to the team. She may not be the most mobile due to living with MS, but that never stops her from giving her all. Sharon is a true fighter—determined, dependable, and always doing her very best to support the team and clients.
From managing bookings and handling the behind-the-scenes admin to bringing warmth and positivity into the centre, Sharon is a much-loved and invaluable part of HS Canine Hydrotherapy.
