Industry Recognition & Charity Work
Industry awards and recognition help show that a business is working to a high standard and is recognised for the care and service it provides. We are proud to have received recent industry recognition, which reflects our ongoing commitment to quality, professionalism and best practice in canine hydrotherapy.
Giving back is just as important to us and Laura from Paddock and Paws. We actively support the wider canine industry, alongside local charities and fundraising initiatives, helping to raise awareness, offer support, and give something back to the community that supports us. Supporting animal charities and charities that are close to our family and friends.

(March 2025) Crufts Feature Sienna's Story Channel 4
Sienna’s Owner’s Testimonial & Comments
Sienna experienced an unfortunate and unexpected injury. As a dog walker, she accompanied me on all of my daily routes. During one of these walks, she collided with a much larger dog, resulting in paralysis of her left hind limb. I carried her to a nearby farm so we could transport her to the veterinary clinic. She was then referred to a specialist, where an MRI revealed a build up of mucus and fluid compressing her spinal cord, necessitating immediate spinal surgery.
Following surgery, Sienna remained hospitalised for several days before being discharged. She returned home still paralysed, and I undertook intensive rehabilitation with her. After two weeks, she managed her first unaided steps. Shortly after, the veterinary team approved her to begin hydrotherapy.
This is when we first met Harvey. From the outset, his professionalism, expertise, and compassion were evident. He invested considerable time and effort into Sienna’s recovery, pushing her appropriately while always ensuring her comfort and safety. I felt completely confident entrusting her care to him, knowing he was fully committed to achieving the best possible outcome for her.
Today, Sienna has regained approximately 99% of her normal function an outcome that once felt unimaginable. Harvey continues to treat her weekly, and I truly believe that without his dedication and skill, she would not be the dog she is today.

(August 2025) Tough Mudder 5k For Medical Detection Dogs & MS Society.

The team at Top Dog Canine Hydrotherapy (Harvey, Cody and Leona) as well as Laura from Paddock and Paws raised money for the Medical Detection Dogs as well as for the MS Society. Harvey's and Cody's brother Oakley also joined the team. Funds were split 50 / 50 towards both our chosen charities. In total we raised £2,270!!!!!!!!!!!
On the 16th August 2025 we all took part in the 5k Tough Mudder. A Tough Mudder is an obstacle course challenge designed to test your strength, endurance, teamwork, and mental grit—all while getting seriously muddy! It’s not a race, but a team-focused event where you help each other through crazy obstacles like:
-
Arctic Plunge– a plunge into ice-cold water
-
Electroshock Therapy – running through live wires (yep, really!)
-
Mud Mile – climbing over mud hills and trenches
-
Everest – a giant slippery wall you have to run up and get pulled over by teammates
Tough Mudder's come in different distances but they all push you out of your comfort zone while building camaraderie and raising money for great causes.
We supported the MS Society because it’s close to our hearts. Harvey’s and Cody’s mum has been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) for around 25 years and it is a lifelong condition that affects the brain and spinal cord. It’s been a challenging time, but we’re standing strong as a family—and we want to help make a difference.
The MS Society is a UK charity that provides vital support for people living with MS. They fund ground-breaking research to find better treatments and, one day, a cure. They also offer advice, practical help, and a community for people affected by MS. Their work brings hope to thousands of families going through similar experiences. By raising awareness and supporting the MS Society, we hope to help others and bring us all one step closer to a world free of MS.
We also raised money for the MDD:
Medical Detection Dogs is a UK charity that trains dogs to detect serious medical conditions using their incredible sense of smell. They do two main things:
Medical Alert Assistance Dogs – These dogs are trained to help people with conditions like diabetes, severe allergies, Addison’s disease, and other life-threatening illnesses. The dogs can sense subtle changes in their owner's scent and alert them before a medical emergency happens—sometimes even before devices can detect it.
Bio Detection Dogs – These amazing dogs are trained to sniff out diseases like cancer, Parkinson’s, malaria, and even COVID-19 in samples like breath, sweat, or urine. The goal is to support early diagnosis and potentially help develop faster, non-invasive tests in the future.
They're literally saving lives every day—both by helping individuals manage daily health and by contributing to ground breaking medical research.
